Saturday Morning at the National: PREPOSTEROUS! A Happenstance Clown Circus

Happenstance clowns take the center ring in vintage costumes and accompanied throughout by a one-person circus band. Juggling, a human calliope, a classic mirror routine, a slow-motion pie fight: clowns even play the animals! The show was featured at the Smithsonian's Festival of American Folklife in 2017, where it delighted audiences of all ages and was embraced by the circus community.

This summer we are excited invite families to join the performers on the main stage at the theatre. There will be one performance at 10am. FREE tickets may be reserved beginning the Friday one week prior to the performance. Once reserved tickets are gone, a limited amount of walk-up tickets will be available on-site on the day of the show. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the performance time to take a place in the "stand-by line".
