Václav Havel’s "Protest"

Alliance for New Music-Theatre is going underground – literally.

In celebration of Dupont Underground’s Workspace Residency Program and Alliance for New Music-Theatre’s inclusion as “Theatre in Residence,” starting May 10, Alliance will offer performances of a work whose origins were also “underground.” - Protest by Václav Havel -playwright, activist, political prisoner, and president of the former Czechoslovakia and then the Czech Republic. Protest exposes the power of a society that spies on its citizens and the thin line between acquiescence and culpability and between absurdist comedy and creepy terror.
